This program is designed to help seniors maintain their independence by providing aides to assist them with activities of daily living that have become too difficult for them to perform. Eligibility for the Program Includes:
Resident of Branch County
Live alone or caring for an older adult
Physically unable to perform own tasks
60 years of age or older
Upon applying for the program, an assessment of the client is completed by the In-Home Services Director. This assessment will determine the eligibility and level of assistance needed. Periodic reassessments will be completed while the individual is receiving service.
Types of service provided: light housekeeping, laundry, personal care (bathing, hair care), and grocery shopping. Respite care is also available under this program. Respite care can provide a caregiver with a “break” from the responsibilities of caring for someone who needs continual supervision.
Funding: This service is funded by state and federal grant funds. Clients are offered the opportunity to donate toward the cost of their service; however, a donation is not required.
